The Government of Assam is steadfast in its commitment to creating a conducive climate for investments across all verticals. The Government is making incessant endeavours through various policies to help startups and motley industries sustain and thrive.

Lately, the state has been making conscious efforts to provide market access to the startups of Assam. Assam’s Procurement Preference Policy, 2021 has been laid out to facilitate the growth of Startups and SMEs, encourage linkages between them and large enterprises, boost their share of supplies to the State Government Departments and its aided institutions as well as the PSUs, provide opportunities to local entrepreneurial talents and maximize avenues for employment generation.

Startups supplying goods/ services to State Government offices/ its aided institutions/ Public Sector Undertakings shall qualify for the following benefits:

• Issue of tender sets free of cost.
• Exemption from payment of 50% of Earnest Money.
• Waiver of Security Deposit
