Agri startup, North East Farm Sales Promotion has been adjudged as the state-level winner (Assam) of the recently held MANAGE Samunnati Agri Startup Awards 2022. The startup has been awarded a cash prize of Rs. 25,000 along with a certificate of recognition. Founder Bhanu Pratap Singh received the award from Smt. Shobha Karandlaje, Hon’ble Minister of State for Agriculture and Farmer Welfare, Govt. of India, during the award ceremony held on September 14, 2022.  

Over 250 applications were received from across India out of which 32 agri-startups were selected to receive awards across various categories, viz., National, State-level and Women Entrepreneurs.

North East Farm Sales Promotion offers on-demand processing and packaging services to the farmers from North East India, addresses their common branding needs and extends support in retailing, exports and institutional sales. The startup is committed to upscaling the livelihoods of women and farmers of North East India by obtaining GI registration for their unique products and then supporting them with new product developments as well as marketing those in attractive eco-friendly packaging all across India and abroad with complete logistics support.

MANAGE-Samunnati Agri-Startup Awards is a joint initiative between The National Institute of Agricultural Extension Management (MANAGE) and Samunnati to recognize impact-driven Agri and Agri-tech startups for their contributions towards rebuilding the agricultural ecosystem and supporting farmers through technological innovations.
