Despite the wide scope of tourism industry in the region, it couldn’t be effectively tapped for providing employment to the youth of North East India, which is a major issue infesting the region.
NorthEast Guide offers all kinds of travel related services across North East India. From offbeat and village tours to camping activities, car and bike rentals, from homestay booking to travel and camping accessories rentals, the startup provides it all. Currently, it is providing cars, bike and travel and camping accessories rentals in Guwahati and Shillong and camping and homestay booking across more than 20 offbeat locations in North East India.

The startup collects 10%-15% commission for each booking from the local service providers. It also earns from travel and camping accessories rentals. NorthEast Guide’s blogs and social media pages are one of the most viewed travel portals in North East India. Revenue is also earned through ads and sponsored contents published on their website and social media pages.
NorthEast Guide has generated a revenue of 4,86,483/- in 9 months (August – 2018 to May 2019). It has received 2700+ travel, accomodation ad other related queries about North East India over phone and social media. The startup also has got 50+ local people on board offering various tourism related services.
