Workshop for women entrepreneurs held at Assam Startup

A startup workshop was organized ahead of International Women’s Day (March 08) on the 6^th of March, 2023 by the Indian Women Network (IWN), a women’s wing of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), in collaboration with IIM Calcutta Innovation Park and Assam Startup – the nest at Ambari, Guwahati. Themed “do more and be more,” the workshop aimed at imparting knowledge and building the capacity of 50+ participating women entrepreneurs to mobilize their dream startups in the right direction.

The program commenced under the guidance of the chairperson of the IWN Guwahati chapter and the Managing Director of DY365, Smt. Dipannita Jaiswal, in presence of other notable personalities invited to take part in a “Start-Up to Scale Up” panel discussion, like Mr. Pranjal Konwar, COO, Assam Startup and IIM Calcutta Innovation Park; Dr. Sriparna Baruah, Entrepreneurship Ecosystem Facilitator; Smt. Runa Rafique, Farmer Entrepreneur; Smt. Niladree Gohain, Co-Founder of Farm Ripe, Times Square and Vintage Academy; Mr. Rituraj Phukan, Founder and Chief Marketing Strategist, Pencil Design Studio; and Mr. David Gogoi, Co-Founder Zerund Manufacturing.

The panel discussion was followed by an enlightening session on personal branding by Mr. Ronju Mohan, CEO and Founder of IKIGROW.  The program ended with an interactive session on Finance with Team UDAAN.
