Students surprise with the quality of their startup ideas at EscoVenture

As a startup incubator championing ecosystem development in Assam, it gives great joy to see students pitching their startup ideas and defending the ideas with towering confidence that remains unfazed by the counter questions. A similar show of talent, intelligence and confidence was seen at EscoVenture, organised by the E-Cell of Assam Engineering College as part of its technical fest, Udbhavanam 10, on March 15, 2023.

15 business ideas by students from various colleges in the state were shortlisted for presentation at the main event yesterday. Top officials from Assam Startup and IIM Calcutta Innovation Park chairing as jury members were bowled over by the students’ knack for identifying crucial problems and conjuring up smart solutions.

The two ideas that stood out and walked away with the Winner and Runner Up titles were “Shikshak” by a pupil from St. Francis De Sales Higher Secondary School and “Make a Meal” by a student from Assam Engineering College respectively.

Assam Startup has been a Partner for the B-Plan competition by AEC for two back-to-back years.
