Startup Seminar by DICC Lakhimpur

Just a month ago, at the Assam Startup Fest 2023, Mr. Chinmoy Prakash Phookan, ACS, the Managing Director of AIIDC, provided guidance to the DICCs on their vital roles in recognising potential startups and assisting them in establishing connections and obtaining support through Assam Startup and the Spoke Incubators. On September 13, 2023, the District Industries and Commerce Centre of Lakhimpur effectively hosted a Startup Seminar at North Lakhimpur College (Autonomous), which saw the participation of 57 students from 9 colleges and 20 aspiring entrepreneurs.

This seminar, conducted as part of the Kshyamata (APART project), benefitted from the presence of notable individuals, including Mr. Ranjan Bora (General Manager, DICC, Lakhimpur), Dr. Biman Ch. Chetia (Principal, North Lakhimpur College [Autonomous]), Mr. Rajarshi Sarma (Assam Startup, IIM Calcutta Innovation Park), Mr. Madhav Saikia (LDM), Dr. Prasanta Kr. Pathak (Chief Scientist, Krishi Vigyan Kendra), Mr. Kangkan Kakati (Agriculture Development Officer, Govt. of Assam) and a couple of successful startup founders, viz., Mr. Saruj Chetia (Founder, Aicheng Innovation & Research) and Hari Prasad Goswami (Founder, Exotic NE).

Initiatives as good as this by the DICCs will undoubtedly play a significant role in raising awareness and identifying promising innovators across the state toward bolstering their startup aspirations through structured guidance and support provided by Assam Startup.
