MeitY Hackathon, Un-flood Assam, concludes to an energetic response
The MeitY Hackathon – Un-flood Assam – was conducted last weekend at the Assam Engineering College. The response received from the youth was overwhelming, especially given their eagerness to find solutions to the havoc wreaked by floods in Assam every year.
28 groups participated in the hackathon, coming forward with innovative solutions to deal with the problem of floods in Assam. Each group presented their innovative idea before the jury panel that comprised of professionals with diverse expertise, like Abdur Mukit Bin Rouf, State Level Project Manager, DAY-NULM Assam; Masfique Alam Hazarika, Program Manager, World Resources Institute, India; and Arnab Kr Das, Assistant Professor, GIMT.
