A delegation from Thailand visits Assam Startup – the nest

A team of delegates from Thailand, led by Mrs. Vipavee Rangsimaporn, Director of South Asian DivisionMinistry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, visited Assam Startup – the nest on 20 September. She was accompanied by Mr. Wuthichai Luangamornlet, Deputy Secretary General, The Thai Chamber of Commerce; Mr. Prasert Juengkijrungroj, Chairman, Tak Chamber of Commerce; Mr. CharumonBooksukchote, Product Manager, Srithai Software Co. Ltd.; and Mr. Brig Ashis Bhattacharyya (Retd.), Senior Advisor – North Eastern States and UTs, Confederation of Indian Industry.

The COO of Assam Startup and IIM Calcutta Innovation Park, Mr. Pranjal Konwar, took it on his shoulders to apprise the visiting delegates about the Assam Startup initiative and the impact it has created in the entrepreneurship space in Assam. Mrs. Vipavee Rangsimaporn expressed interest to explore possibilities of working conjunctly for furthering the development of the startup ecosystem. The delegates also interacted with a few incubated startups, taking note of the quality of innovation happening in this part of the world.
