Assam Startup celebrated the successful conclusion of “Product Day,” marking the culmination of the Ignite Program under Cohort 5.0. This milestone event featured an exhibition where startups from the Ignite program showcased their innovative products and services, receiving enthusiastic feedback from delegates, guests, and attendees.

The event was inaugurated by the Hon’ble Minister of Industries, Commerce & PE Dept, Assam, Shri Bimal Borah, who praised the entrepreneurs’ creativity and acknowledged the supportive ecosystem provided by Assam Startup. The event also saw the presence of key officials, including Shri Manvendra P. Singh, IAS, Managing Director of AIIDC; Shri Oinam S. Singh, IAS, Commissioner of Industries, Commerce & PE Department; and Shri Ravi Thappa, ACS, Dept of Industries, Commerce & PE, Government of Assam.

The day commenced with an inaugural session where Shri Manvendra P. Singh presented the Course Report for the Ignite Program under Cohort 5.0, providing detailed insights into the program’s progress and impact. This was followed by the awarding of graduation certificates to startups by the Hon’ble Minister, Shri Bimal Borah, marking the successful completion of their journey through the Ignite Program. The event concluded with remarks from the incubatees who expressed their deep appreciation for the unwavering support provided by Assam Startup.

In a special address, Shri Bimal Borah highlighted the importance of a growth mindset for entrepreneurs and discussed the evolving entrepreneurial ecosystem in Assam. He emphasized the significance of fostering a job-creator mentality and the vital role that Assam Startup plays in supporting this transformation. Shri Oinam S. Singh and Shri Ravi Thappa attended the event to show their support for the incubatees, highlighting the government’s commitment to developing entrepreneurship in Assam.

The event featured technical sessions on early-stage investment and business scaling, led by industry experts and successful entrepreneurs. Shri Akash Jyoti Gogoi, Founder of Bahuboli Eggs, provided valuable insights to the participating startups. The event also saw the presence of Aditya Arora, CEO of FAAD Network Pvt Ltd, and Shri Partha Neog, CEO of Vantage Circle, who offered support and encouragement.

The event concluded with a dynamic pitching session where startups presented their innovative business ideas to a distinguished panel of investors and industry leaders. The panel featured prominent figures such as Naseer Mir, Chief Scientific Officer at BioNEST-IITG; Pranjal Kumar Sarmah, Associate Director of Entrepreneurship and Incubation at Assam Down Town University; Dr. Simanta Kalita, CEO of AIC SELCO Foundation; Dr. Poonam Kumari, Associate Professor at IIT Guwahati; Dr. Tania Paul Das, Manager at BioNEST IASST; Mr. Aditya Arora, CEO of FAAD Network Pvt Ltd; Mr. Rupam Nath, AVP at SIDBI Venture Capital Ltd; and Mr. Rajat Deorah, Partner at Exotica Developers. These industry leaders, representing leading ecosystem enablers and enterpreneurs, shared their expertise and provided invaluable feedback to the participants, contributing significantly to the event’s success.
